In Loving Memory of Chris Horder
Chris Horder, known to many as Chuck LaFlange, was a powerful voice in the recovery community. After battling addiction for over 25 years, he found his way to healing following the loss of his father, guided by the simple yet profound words his mother had always told him: “You are loved.”
From that place of loss and clarity, Chuck created The Dopey Canuck Podcast, which later became Ashes to Awesome. Through his work, and alongside co-host Dr. Lisa, he gave voice to the struggles so many face in silence. His mission was clear: to offer hope, connection, honesty in a space too often filled with shame, and to ensure people knew they were loved.
Chuck’s legacy lives on in every story shared, every person reached, and every moment of connection his work inspired.
